Y el canto de todas
Rafael Serrallet – guitar
With the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra
Conductor: Serhiy Khorovets
Spanish guitarist Rafael Serrallet presents Y el canto de todas, a deeply personal and socially conscious recording dedicated to the music of Latin American women composers — voices too often overlooked in the classical repertoire.
The album features works that bridge academic tradition and popular roots, recorded in collaboration with the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra, in Ukraine during the ongoing war. It is both a musical and human gesture — a tribute to artistic resilience and international solidarity. An exquisite balance between sensitivity and strength — Serrallet’s playing sings with clarity, dignity, and depth.
The project was made possible with the support of the Institut Valencià de Cultura, and features artwork by Mexican visual artist Yazmín Huertas, whose design captures the emotional and cultural richness of the repertoire.
Sound editing and mixing were handled with exceptional precision by Ukrainian engineer Volodymir Punko, who brought the recording to life despite the complexities of working in a war-torn country.
This self-produced album offers long-overdue visibility to a remarkable body of work — a meeting point of continents, cultures, and untold stories.
Available on Spotify and all major digital platforms.
